Unhappy input help on tranny problem

I've got a 94 bonneville and the problem we are having now is this..if the car has been sitting for a couple hours and we go to use it, we'll put it into drive or reverse and it will do nothing for about 1 minute or so (longer if cold out) then when we are driving it and if we come to a stop the car will lurch forward kind of mildly, it will also not go forward at this point but simply just raise the rpm's up with no forward momentum unless we let of the gas and let the car idle back down to normal..fluid color in somewhat normal(slight dark tint to it) and i did do the "blotter" test with good results...the speedo works just fine but i've noticed that the odometer will work intermitantly...any strong possibilities?

Re: input help on tranny problem

If the fluid level is on "full" when it's hot and idling, I would pull the pan and look at the filter. It sounds like a "supply" problem.
