Are Hifonics amps good? and is a hifonics 1606d brutus a good amp for two type r's...12's 2ohms....if not what is a quality amp for them?

there brutus is overrated, other then that line i heard they are pretty decent. and if u want to go with hifionics and that line i would go with this one BXi 2006D

if u mean 1 pdx 1000.1 per sub then it shouldn't if u know when to back off, there has been people who where running 1500rms to type r but that was for burps but all of them said that they should take 1k rms for daily.

3 second burps do not have enough energy to a lot of damage, most subs can take a LOT more than rated power for such a short duration but as noted above - you can't way over power a sub on a daily basis.
