The digital dash read out was working, then it would light up after about 20 minutes driving, now it does not come on at all. Does anyone out there have any idea about how this problem can be remedied? Your input would be greatly appreciated.

Lots of folks have had this type of problem.
The ribbon cable Ford used to make those connections corrodes and loses connection.

You'll have to remove the cluster assembly, clean the connections, and put it all back.

Here's a tech article of someone doing the same to the tripminder assembly.
