To bolt on or not to bolt on?
I recently came into some money and was thinking about adding some boltons to my truck. I was thinking a k&n fipk, exhaust and a pro-tune. My question is that my truck has 200+k miles on it and I dont know if it can handle the strain of more power. What do you guys think? Will it make that much difference with that many miles? What about the transmission? Should I just save my money and go for a 6.0 engine/tranny upgrade when the original 5.3 goes caput? It is a 2002. Thanks for the input, Derek

Re: To bolt on or not to bolt on?
I would save my money, probley not what you want to hear but you have half of the life of the engine used up and worn in.
Change that and you may be asking for trouble. Or, Just do it and re-use the parts you purches now on another engine or truck. |
