Making of SUZUKI GSX1100S KATANA

Hello,
Started Tamiya 1:12 Katana custom tuned.
building 2 kits simultaneously, 'Part I' is going to be nearly normal look and 'Part II' is going to be modified.

*Modified front cowl (Part II).


Comparison with Part I(normal cowl)




*Changed fuel cap (Part II)


*Seat
added tandem belt (Part I)


made seat cowl for single seat (Part II)

My god Kunta: those morimori shapes are to die for: perfect simmetry, great finishing, another thing to follow. Not to meant that the Katana (with a good and messy 4in1 exaust) is one of my kid's myth. Superb.

Painted exterior and seat(Part I)


Seat cowl of Part II is still painting.



Assembled engines. Part I is silver, Part II is black and used Museum Collection's funnels.

Engines look so great Kunta! And that blue tank of No2, wow, what kind of blue paint is that? Superb modifying work also!

I agree with Joel, looks cool, your modifying combined with the blue/black colour will give the bike a totally appearance

Thanks guys
that gradation paint has 3 layers. black,light blue and sparkling blue(Finisher's).
and painted clear orange upon silver 'SUZUKI' decal(selfmade).

Engine paint is Semi-gloss Black and cases are Pure Black, Finisher's paint both.

Assembled rear section.

Changed steps.



Painted swing arm light gold, sprocket is Finisher's Red Gold.
wheel is solid semi-gloss black.

Used Studio27 decal for c/f and 'Yoshimura' logo decal is selfmade.



*Steering section
Drilled levers.



*Windshield
Sanded edge and applied tint paint.
