Crank trouble 1995 Blazer

Sometimes I got to start the truck and nothing i let it rest a few min and itll fire sometimes it wont until you hold the brake down. Is there a nuetral safety switch on these?

Does it turn over and not start, or does it not turn over at all? Yes, both new and old all have neutral safety switches on them.

no starter doesnt even engage it does nothing thought it might be starter but doesnt act right

When you turn the key, does everthing go dim of off,(guages, lights etc), or everything is fine, but it just doesn't engage the starter?

yes exactlyI think its hydrolocked I gave up and dropped ot off at the shop today
