egr problem
Hi! new to this site i have oo ls v6 it has 115k engin light came on had code checked 1401 came up egr replaced cleard code drove for a day or so light came back on 1401 again a mechanic suggest i change diff feed back sensor and again light back on anyone have any idea

Per the forum guidelines that you agreed to when registering, please use punctuation so we can tell where one thought ends and the next begins. Related to the P1401, per the factory service manual the following are suggestions for the P1401 code: Possible causes: -- DPFE SIG open. -- DPFE SIG shorted to VREF or PWR. -- VREF shorted to PWR. -- SIG RTN open. -- Damaged D.P.F. EGR sensor. -- Damaged PCM. Looks like it's time to pull out the DMM and make some electrical measurements. Oh, and be sure that when the DPFE was replaced the vacuum lines were connected to the correct nipple and not reversed. -Rod
