90 integra ls b18b swap
My brother has a 1990 integra ls b18a 5spd obd0 . The motor has been blown up in the car since he got it. He bought a 1997 integra gs b18b 5spd obd2 that was wrecked in the rear for pretty cheap, car only had 100k miles. I know B series with B series, D with D, so on so on. But what all would he need to do to put the b18b into his integra ls. Can he run the b18b obd0? He plans on making it obd1 down the road hes alrdy got the intake manifold, just needs the ecu, distributor, wiring harness. He plans on leaving the cable tranny in it.

Re: 90 integra ls b18b swap
I would swap out with the B18 and then do the wiring harness, and ecu, that way theres no questions. Nuff said

Re: 90 integra ls b18b swap
OK, first things first, the trans in the gs will not work on the DA(90-93) chassis, you will need to use your own, the engine, strip the engine of the intake manifold and Dizzy, also, your 90 B18A engine has a knock sensor and a fan switch under the intake manifold on the block around the oil filter, you will need that, use the A intake manifold and Dizzy, fan switch and knock sensor and the thermostat housing and pipe, and all will be well, all the mounts and stuff like that are the same, good luck my friend.

Re: 90 integra ls b18b swap
Oh yeah, my bad, you'll need to use the Mount Bracket on the front of the engine where the belts are, I almost forgot about that, but thats it tho, take the timing cover off, the 3 bolts that hold the bracket on and switch it, then install and its done.
