Subaru Blue '94 Hong Kong - Beijing

Hello all

Long time lurker here thinking of starting the Hasagawa Impreza WRX '94 Hong Kong - Beijing winner kit some time soon.

Kit instructions list a custom mix of 3 different coulors for the main body colour. I'm making an assumption that the blue used way back in '94 is different from the blue that is used on cars today, so what might be correct for an '07 car might not necessarily be correct for the '94 car.

I'm wondering if any of the Tamiya TS rattle can blue's would be suitable instead for this particular kit? (TS-50 Mica Blue???) Or possibly what Subaru blue from the Zero paint range form Hiroboy.com I could consider using through an air bursh instead? Or what to possibly ask for as a custom mix from hiroboy?

I have some infot from friend modeler Francisaco Rupp that color could be auto color Renault Blue 442 - for 93/94 year WRX.

Hiroboy already does a blue specifically for the 1994-1996 Subaru rally cars. It's called 555 Rally Montecarlo Blue ('94-'96) and is code: 53C. It is a deeper, darker blue than that used on the later Scoobies. TS-50 is a better match for the most recent variation used.

Andy is correct.The TS-50 Mica Blue is also a metallic colour and the earlier Subaru's from this year were definitely not metallic,just straight solid blue.
