Removing Shift Knob?
So I've been looking into getting a new shift knob for my car(96 park avenue) to personalize it some. So I went to check the threading, but I can't exactly figure out how to remove the knob. It doesn't twist off, nor is there a clip. The only other way I can think of removing the knob is to take the top part off, and as I went to inspect how to take that off, I couldn't see any way other than prying it off and probably ruining it. Is there a screw or something that I would need to remove under the rubber?
Thanks. |

Re: Removing Shift Knob?
I had to replace my shifter knob long ago. It's simply wedged onto the shift stick tightly, but since it was broken already, I got it off with by breaking it down with a chisel. A few beats with a mallet got the new one on in no time, also.
