COMPLETE: Dad's '57 Chevy

Just in time for his birthday.

Very straightforward build, I focused on getting a nice mirror finish on the paint (a bit hard to tell in the pics, I still need to work on my photography), the BMF and the right stance that he would like. I didn't even bother wiring the engine, just cleaned up the engine bay nicely. Remember, this was built mostly by restoring my first ever model that I built when I was like 10, so there was still a fair bit of work involved.

Well, I'm sure he will be very pleased to have it! Nice and clean build! One of my favorite classic Chevy's.

Very nice! I am slowly working on a57 chevrolet as well. One question though, what color is that panel on the side. I been tryin to google a close up of one of those. I dont think its made of chrome or staimless on the real cars. Are they just painted silver?

No, AMT just took a shortcut, as they so often do. The trim along the top and bottom, and following into the body line, is chrome. The inside of the panel is stainless (or silver, really) slats. AMT just chose to make it smooth.
