Re: Look what my computer drawed for me!
I live in the sticks. The response I get when I show a digital painting to potential clients is "Did you drawed that or did yer computer do it?". It is like I live in the redneck version of the 19th Century French salon. It is either oil paints or nothing.

Beautiful image, the body color has so much depth.
Just wondering if the "floor" mirror image overlaps a bit too much? To me, thinking that the tire reflection should just touch at the bottom edge of the tires. And I get the same type of question too--"Did you draw that by hand or by computer." It's still the same hand no matter if you're holding a pencil, brush, mouse or Wacom stylist. |

Re: Look what my computer drawed for me!
xpeed I made an art history funny. I live in the land of rednecks, but they have discriminating taste about what they accept as art - much like the uppity french academy and their 19th Century salon shows. You know, before impressionism rolled around and changed everything, the french officials had strict rules for what could be shown and what was good.
Blip I will fix the reflection. I shouldn't make fun of how they talk because I am a neck too. Thanx for the replies. It makes me sad how the diablo looks a little dated now. I guess it has been like 15 years or so.

Yea, I get the same replies.

Until he died.Kristina, I think alot of the time the prejudice stems from a general misunderstanding. Digital covers alot of territory. I think most people tend to get 2d and 3d mixed up as well as mixing up digital painters and photo manipulators. Crap, I hate many 3d artists too. They take someone else's model and render it with a push of a button. They give my digital painters a bad name.
