Tail Light Issue

Yes another issue with tail lights I've read many posts on the subject but I have a different question than most. I just need to know which wire is the "power" wire that tells the lights when to turn on. I have replaced many switches and I have taken the entire light assembly from a different grand am (same year) that I know is working and they still didn't turn on. I'm guessing its in the wiring even though my brake and reverse lights work.

I do not have dash lights but I was told that is due to a dying dash cluster. I was told by my mechanic that they are not related but I have read that they are. I was planning on running new wires and seeing if that made a difference. I just didnt want to mix up grounds or anything.

I hope my question makes sense
thnx for reading

Re: Tail Light Issue

No problem!

Re: Tail Light Issue

Thanks I'll start with trying to clean all of the connections up. Is there anything specific I should clean it with?

Thanks again I'll post results.
