1995 Pontiac Firebird Formula...

Seen a 1995 Firebird Formula today. Black with all power. 5.7L V-8. The dealer was asking $5,900. It has 70,000 miles. I was looking it over real well. I seen a few minor things like a missing lug nut and a scratch on the rear tail light. Anyone think that 5,900 is a great deal or not??

Personally, I think that's a very good deal. Go for it.

What he said It is indeed a good deal. We have some formula firebirds on the lot where I work and they want a whole hell of a lot more than what the dealership you're checkin out does.

Well....I came to a stop at the stop sign on a road. Took a left turn and hit the gas and got it sideways Im used to my Grand Prix you see. So that kind of settled me down a bit. I was very suprised how quick It got to 80mph. I love the car. There was a touch of snow in our driveway on the flat part. The dang car is so light and alot of power it just spun the wheels. Lets just say I let them spin longer than what I should have.... There was a touch of white tire smoke. So anyway overall I had fun for a hour and a half with it. Oh yeah....I ran it out of gas and luckly it just coasted into the gas station. It was a test drive I will never forget. Im getting ready to test drive a different car. Im not a ford man, but it is the only car I liked that ford made. Its a 93 T-Bird Supercoupe. Im looking for my own car and not having to keep driving the family car here and there. My plan was to give the GP back to mom and have something I can have FUN with and not worry about screwing up the family unit. You know what I mean.....

Well, It's a V8 sports car with a powerful engine. Basically it will depend on your age, and whether or not you have any tickets. Even then it will still probably be pretty high.

I heard it might be around $200 a month or as high as $275. I have a clean driving record at this time.

I have a 1996. It doesn't sound like a bad deal. I have seen them out there for around $5200 and up. My insurance - full coverage with lojack is around $850 a year... I am over 25. If you can swing it - go for it. You'll get a lot of bang for the buck!

For the record .. i owned for short time a 92 Corvete Lt1.. it had 140k miles on it i warpedte headsad had the top end redone.. but that car was thrashed..the Lt1 is a hearty engine and bringback the days of CEvy's lasting to 100k.. the price is very right.. so what if a young punk drove the piss out of it..one the computer is set up for optimum driving and there are alot of free /or almost free mods.. that can be done.. ..if your willing to get your cat-- thatwill bring it right upto Ls1 pwer.. just watch for overheating as they like to do that.. a hypertech streetrunner w an thermo kept my vette no matter what at a cool 180 degree's

check out C4 mods they tell a big story you can easily get 60 hp in free mod or inexpensive mods .. the cats are a major restriction .. if you have the balls and can reuse the shield.. t should pass emision using those gas additives while gaining a solid 20-30 hp.. my firehawk did.. and all my non engineering buddies said it wouldn't be worth 1-2 hp boy were the wrong.. 52 mm tb air fiol cstum air intake ... and if you need a set of 3.23 i think mine will fit.. i'mnot sure what you have.. pm me

i use 4.09 now
