tranny help needed!!!!!!!!!

Driving home tonight after turning right on to my street the tranny didnt shift into 2nd. Tranny stays in first will not shift up. Rev works like a charm. When I shift from park to a drive gear in clicks right in like it should. Any ideas? The ses (i think thats what its called on the dash) has not come on. Fluid seems fine and is full. Was shifting fine a few minutes before this.

probably the bands came off or something broke to happen that quick.

hang on. try replacing the input output sensor its easy and on the side of tranny.

Input output sensor? Ill take a look in into this. Any more information aout this sensor would be a huge help.

this sensor is what tells the tranny to shift not much more to say . it just unclips and then unscrews and goes in the same way, careful tranny fluid will come out.

Check the throttle valve cable running from the throttle linkage down to the trans too. If this broke or came off it will affect this 1-2 shift. Some of the Rams have the speed sensor on the rear end pumpkin, and I think some have both rear end and trans sensors.

turns out I still had an extended warrenty so Dodge repair it. Snap ring inside was broken and valve govenor was toast.
