Hood Release

On my 96 Geo Tracker the hood release works when it wants to. You can hear the release work i guess its not letting go. Is there away to fix this? Ive tried useing WD-40 and PB blaster on it. I have to pull the release a few times to get it to work.

Re: Hood Release

I have to stand at the passenger door, and while pulling the release with my left hand, tug on the hood with my right until it lets go.

Re: Hood Release

Those little rubber knobs that are on each corner of the hood on the front was my problem. I adjusted them up and the hood releases fine now.
