'99 S-10 missing part! Name?

Hello and HELP! I have a '99 S-10 truck I inherited from my Dad. I had a friend fix the blown head gasket (including having heads re-done). I then sent it to a local garage for a new power steering pump. It has a LOUD roar and the garage says that the '99's do not have EGR's but have a two or three bolt plate where an EGR valve would go. Evidently my friend removed and misplaced it. I am trying to save $$$ (as I have none!-lol) What is this plate called so I can find or order one? The garage would have to do to much indepth searching to find this and we can replace it ourselves if I knew what it is. Does anyone have any idea? Thanks!.......Sheri

Welcome to AF.
What engine size?

What kind of a roar?
Like a exhaust leak or other?

Take you vin no to a dealer and see if he can order the part for you.
If a egr block plate was removed you will need the gaskets and bolts to go with it.
Good luck MT
Or a good local bone yard may have one.
