Exclamation '96 Sc 2.4l

Hi! My '96 SC 2.4L is having some issues. I started the car today and it seemed kind of quiet for once...the I realized that the heating/air will not turn on at all. After I drove for a bit (I left it on, just in case) I turned it off again and it made a wheezing noise like it was on and then off. I don't know what's wrong with it, but I need my defrost! Also, I need new tired and when I get them I can get my alignment done for free, BUT, the control are is a bit funky...would the control arm trash the new tires even after I get the car aligned? THANK YOU!!!

*ugh, It's 2.4 not 2.1, Sorry!!

Re: '96 Sc 2.4l

on the heat check the fuses.
if the blower isnt working check the fuse for that too.

If hte fuses are good then your blower or resistor are bad.

hope that helps

kjones, I didn't see your post before I posted my own question about the blower motor. Seems like we have a similar problem, could you let me know how the blower motor change was? Thanks

Re: '96 Sc 2.4l

Actually, after we changed all of the spark plugs and put in a new O2 sensor the car has been running great! The blower is working much better, so now the windows just need to be fixed because the can't roll up or down without "derailing" lol, I hope you work things out with your Unda-Achieva...

Re: '96 Sc 2.4l

Good deal! New plugs in mine did a world of good too. I had to put new valve cover gaskets on to stop the oil leaking out, and aside from the usual quirks familiar to most achievas, it's been a good car
