2000 cavalier - A/C seized

Who knows an easy fix to a seized a/c pump? it makes a lot of nice while I drive and i'm not replacing it. I just need a way to stop the noise.

get a shorter belt, get the belt designed for your engine without A/C, i had your exact problem and thats what i did, now i have to spend $500-800 before summer to get it fixed

Re: 2000 cavalier - A/C seized

thanks a lot, that's a pretty easy fix. I'm not going to get the ac fixed ever I would rather use my window then pay for all that other stuff. That belt is it easy to get? from a garage or something

Or get an A/c bypass pulley. Its a little cheaper than a new belt. Maybe by a buck or 2. lol.

Re: 2000 cavalier - A/C seized

out of the 4 different auto parts stores in my town not a one of them had the belt in stock, and only 1 of them would order it for me, not to easy to get ahold of...

if you can wait a month or 2 till i get my tax money back ill sell you mine, assuming your engine is the 2200...

Yeah i do have the 2200. If it is that hard to get I could wait for yours. Do you have a part # or anything from when you bought yours? If i can find it around where I live maybe I could get rid of those annoying noises sooner.
