'73 Delta 88: Parting is such...

Well, I'm not sure if it's "sweet sorrow". But it's less than simple.

Briefly, I am interested in quickly moving my 1973 Delta 88 because I do not intend to have time to drive it and prefer it be with a caring owner. It has under 60K (original), 350 2 bbl Rocket, 8 cyl. The exterior is fair minus the rusted quarter panels. The interior is good: missing a few small pieces like a dashboard light cover and the front bench needs repair.

All in all, the highway ride is still a classic, smooth, head-turner! (and you can't beat the roominess short of an RV!)

I have posted twice on Ebay, no luck. I don't want to go that route again. All indications suggest this vehicle should still be worth a minimum of $2,000.

The car is located in upstate NY.

Perhaps an auction or auto recycler would suffice?

What do you know?

Thanks for the welcome and for sharing your knowledge. Best of 2008 to you all!

Sorry, one cannot link to another auto forum on this site that requires one to have to sign up. In order to view those pics, you have to sign up as a member there. It's in our Community Guidelines. Perhaps you could post them here as a file hosted on a free site like tinypic.com or photobucket?
I'll attest, those are nice cars. I learned how to drive in a '72 Delta 88. Always wanted one since then. It kills me because you are so close to my location,( I'm in Syracuse.) But my wife will not let me have one more vehicle at this time ( just got rid of 2 last year and hopefully one more this coming Spring, that'll leave me with 5 in the driveway.) Hopefully you will find it a good home away from the salvage yard. Good luck!

Let's see if this works....

Thank you for the heads up. Yes, I'm green on the forum scene!

Let me know if the dear wife caves- I'll give preference (read "deal!") to anybody in CNY!

Cheers
