95 Running Cold
95 Grand Cherokee V8 5.2L -
I have changed out the thermostat twice and flushed the heater core but it will not heat up. If anyone has any ideas, I would apreciate it. Thanks. |

Re: 95 Running Cold
What won't heat up, the engine or heater?

Re: 95 Running Cold
That's a little strange. I would say a stuck open thermostat but since you have tried two I can't see that being a problem. Do you have an over sized rad in there?
Do you feel that its not heating up because the heater isnt working well or the dash gauge is reading low? Does the upper rad hose get hot after driving for awhile? My 96 5.2 doesn't take too long to heat up, mind you it does not heat up as fast as the I6. Quote:

Re: 95 Running Cold
I have a stock radiator. The dash guage is showing a low tempature and the heater blows warm but not hot. The upper radiator hose does get hot but I don't think it is getting hot enough. I am stumped??
