1998 Bravada Starting problem
Have a 1998 Olds Bravada. Will not start (cranks...sounds like it wants to start but doesn't). Been doing this on and off for a week. The few times it has started it turned right over and seemed to run fine but then the next day or two it won't start. Mechanic said only computer code was air intake sensor...replaced this, it started two times and now is back to not starting for a day or two. Mechanic checked and has no other codes. Please help

Re: 1998 Bravada Starting problem
Try a shot of starting fluid in the air intake, if it starts, it's time to check fuel pressure and excessive leakdown. Key on, engine off, fuel pump running, must have 60 to 66psi. Must remain above 55psi for 3 to 5 minutes after pump shuts off.

Re: 1998 Bravada Starting problem
Check the fuel filter.
Make sure all ignition wires are connected good. Could be igniton module. Many things, but some things I would check. |
