How to reprogramme Focus keys ?

Having bought a Focus 1.6 2001 X reg, which is missing the remote 3 button fob key, I bought a used replacement on ebay, this needs to be reprogrammed specifically to my car, this is an expensive thing to have done but I've heard reprogramming of the remote 3 button fob key can be done at home, can anyone provide the the info on how this is done.

Thanks
