Clicking/ rattleing while under load 2000 to 3000.

I have a lincoln LS V8. When I am driving, I here a clicking coming the enging between 2000 and 3000 rpms. I have the same problem with my navigator. Please help!

Do you have the same clicking if you are in park or neutral and hold the engine speed in that range? Don't try to go above 3000 rpms, the rev limiter will kick in above 3000-3500 rpms.

If you can duplicate the sound in park/neutral, than get a second person to help you determine the vicinity the noise is coming from.

I think the problem may be one or more bad ignition coils. I'm going to replace the the I didn't replace.
