Windows wont go down...

A few weeks ago my windows just stoped working, they both will no move at all. I also found it weird that the button lights dont light up either. Is there a fuse or something i should look at? also my cruise controll does not work either. any ideas?
Thanks

Re: Windows wont go down...

you probably hit the window-lock button on your drivers side door. press it again, your windows will work fine

The buttons never light up. It's weird, don't know why. lol

Cruise control you have to use the switch in the center console, under the radio, then use the lever on your steering column, press it down, and it will set your speed.

Re: Windows wont go down...

My lights are lit, even during the day I believe. I for one think it's a fuse. For both of your windows to stop working and no lights, there's a malfunction of electricity somewhere. Fuses will be the easiest to check before taking your car apart.

Re: Windows wont go down...

Only the drivers side buttons light up.

If there are no lights and no working of the buttons its probably the wiring in the door jam being fuxored

Apparently you have no idea how many people post this problem and that is exactly the solution.

FYI, it's an SL that I converted to AWD Twin Turbo, and used a GTO SR auto awd transmission. If anything, I'm BOOSTING the reputation of the SL's

I have a modified 91 Twin Turbo, just sold my bone stock 92 TT with 74k miles, and possibly picking up a 97 3000GT and another 92 3000GT, possibly another stealth twin turbo also, if the guy gives me the right price. I've owned over 20, probably about 80% twin turbo/vr4's.

So I'll give you all the smartass remarks I want.

Jackass.
