05 SXT High Idle

My 05 SXT, 5 speed manual, 55,000 miles, never abused.... started to "idle" at ~ 2500 RPM the other day. Did some diagnoistics for missing vacuum hoses etc, everything appears to be in place. Removed the IAC and taped the mounting holes on the throttle body up, No difference in Idle speed. Removed all the vacuum hoses and taped them up ...no difference in idle speed, Throttle body appears to be closing all the way ( it should shut off all air flow when closed...right) engine still "idles" at ~ 2500, sometimes 3000 rpm.....Not any real power at these rpms, so I'm assuming I have a small but persistent vacuum leak somewhere...Any suggestions?

Found the problem, a tear in the "goiter" hose running from the throttle body on the air box to the mainfold. Neon is back to normal!
