325xi vs 330xi
I've posted about 10 times today, all these new ideas are popping into my head (I've finally embraced BMW). I was looking at the MSRP on the 330xi vs the MSRP on the 325xi and for the base models...not a huge difference. I can get a base (almost) 330xi for about as much as a 325xi w/ moonroof, heated seats and onboard computer. Would it be wise to invest in the larger engine/wheels at the sacrifice of a few luxury items?
I'm having a flashback through this purchase...when I got my 01 Mustang I went w/ the V6 instead of the GT thinking "A V6 is good enough". I'm tired of regretting my purchase a year or two down the line. I'm tired of having the "wussy" one. Hmm. Brandon

I went through the same thing just last week. I was all set to get the 325xi with a bunch of options. But what I finally realized was that I really wanted a more powerful engine over everything else (and a manual trans.). Plus the 330xi gives you the 17" wheels, better audio and on-board computer. So I decided to order one (with leather and heated seats). And the dealer told me the March build 3.0 engines increased the HP to 235 from 225.
Now the real hard part comes--waiting 2 months!

Nice. I'm about to head over to the BMW dealer to see if I can test drive a 330. My salesman isn't in today, but damnit all, I can't wait. I'm also going to drive an A4 Quattro, even though I don't like the looks near as well. 235HP is nice...if I decide to get one I'll probably hold out for it. Grats on purchase!
