77 trans am origianl ttops?
curiosity struck me when looking at me ttops they dont cover the whole span of the window like my previous 78 camaro ttops did, they start with the window at the front but by the time it gets to the back it stops about 2 inches short. are these a custom job, they also have a handle that locks down on each side unlike the camaro one handle locked the ttop in place...

Re: 77 trans am origianl ttops?
'78 was the firt year the factory actually installed "t-tops". Prior to that, they were "Hurst Hatches", installed by Hurst.

I believe you could have either the Hurst Hatches or the T-Tops by Fisher for the f-Body cars in '78. I think '78 was the last year for the Hurst ones, though.

Re: 77 trans am origianl ttops?
The Hurst T-Tops are visably smaller than the Fisher style. Im not sure where along the production they were sent out but they are a Hurst done job and not done in the Pontiac assembly lines. The Hurst style tops lasted till 79 I believe. While they may be more rare they are problematic from what I hear.
