car stereo works but no lights on headunit
i installed my car stereo today im confused as to were the illumination wire go to i only have 2 wires that are not connected on my cd player and it is
<ant. rem .1 amp> and <amp. rem .3> it works but i cant see anything can i just run the illumination from the dash to the ignition wire but how would i get my light on the stereo to work help please its killing me at this time the illumination is hooked up to the .1 ant rem should i move it to the .3 amp i have a sony deck and a 1989 prelude red/black wire is illumination wire |

no, those are both rempte wires. they send an output. i'm pretty sure neither of those would do any good

the purpose of the illumination wire on the head unit is to dim the the display when the cars lights are on. Try removing the face and cleaning the gold mating contacts on the face AND the body, then reinstall the face.
