window tints, how do you make 'em?

i'm making a replica of my r32 skyline and i would like to tint my windows like mine.

somebody knows where i could find some? i never did it before

The very best way to tint windows on models is to use real (full scale) window tinting film. Some detailing shops might be willing to give you their scraps, and it's easy to apply.

Spraying transparent colors for tinting usually gives unsatisfactory results- it's nearly impossible to apply a good optical grade tint finish by spraying. You'll see any and all imperfections, and they will be impossible to correct.

thanks alot! that's what i wanted to do but i wasn't sure how it could turn!

i'll post some pics in my wip thread as soon as i get some pictures!

Same for tints made on a color copier with clear decal film. However, with decals you have more chances to get it "lookin' right" without ruining the windshield.
