What in your opinion is the best affordable sports car?
I thought this might be interesting. I know affordable is different for everyone, but I think we can agree that a Corvette Z06, M3, and GTR, isn't affordable for most people.
A few affordable cars definately come to mind. What do you think is best and do you have any to add to the list? Audi TT BMW 335i BMW Z4 Infiniti G37 Mazda RX8 Nissan 350z Pontiac G6 I think the 335i is the best, but I also like the new G37 and still love the Z. |

I like the power of the 335i but not the price of buying it or it breaking on me out of warranty. It looks good too.

Are we limiting to new cars?
If not I would go for an Audi S4 or a BMW M3 E36 or E46. |

Re: What in your opinion is the best affordable sports car?
The G6 is kinda out of place here. The GTO (now out of production) or the better Solstice (GTP?) are both way better sports cars then any variant of the G6. Sometime soon we'll have the new Camaro as well, which could be a great car.
As a daily driver, I would have to say either the 335i or the G37. 335i if you can justify the BMW price, G37 if you can't. 300hp and a luxury interior make these great all-rounders. For just plain speed, I'd give the edge to the 350z. C&D got it around a track faster then an Evo and STI. The interior is a bit cheap and its been known to have a few little problems, but for track speed, I think its hard to beat until you are paying quite a bit more. For styling, I'm a fan of the Z4. I think it stands out more then any of these other cars. Unfortunately I also don't think it is as good a car as these other ones until you are paying for the M versions. Same is true with the TT, except there are no S versions of it yet (but a TT-S is coming soon).

Out of that list, I'd say the 350z. The g37 is more luxury/sports. 335i a bit expensive for this comparo. The 350 is still a pure sports car and the best available in its price range. The Mustang GT would be a good choice too.
