2002 TrailBlazer TPS-Electrical Issue ??
Hi,
I have a 2002 trailblazer bought used with about 106,000 miles. First cold day of abot 25 degrees cranked ok then got check engine light and reduced power light. engine run rough and appeared gas pedal was disconneted. After weather warmed up to mid 30's problem went away. Took it to real good indepedent and codes showed it was TPS Throttle Body. They checked connector good, no problem found so the replaced Throttle Body (new GM Unit) no more cold weather for a few days but was driving at night and turned on Hi-Beams and same problem reduced power light and gas pedal appeared disconnected. In addition left turn indicator lamp in dash came on solid. Turned off Hi Beams and got back home. Next morning in mid to low 20's and same problem. Independent has it back. Found ground problem where headlight wire grounds fixed hi-beam problem but still have left turn indicator in dash on solid and gas pedal appears to be disconnected, weather seems to affect it. They have checked for shorts following gm troubleshoot. connectors at TPS and at computer. Cleaned and retightened. Still have problem. Codes still indicate bad throttle Body. Replaced with know good one still have problem. Any help gratly appreciated.
