my trans is slipping

auto trans 1989 honda prelude 2.0si it goes fine from 1st to 2nd but revs un going from 2nd to 3rd got to let off the gas and then it will shift but have no power like its missing 3rd gear and going strait to 4th

the same thing happened to me that the tranny going out but before you do any thing else check your fluid if its fine its the tranny

ok i bought it like a week ago and the mackanic that had it did a trans flush and i went to auto zone last night and he said the fluid smelled burnt

well if did do that flush and its still doing that it more or likely its your tranny
