Re: gm MAF

It's quite easy really... All you need is a GM MAF off the proper vehicle and a MAF Translator and it's all mostly plug and play so long as you know how to put it into your piping for a blow through setup... It will also give you a wider range for tuning, which isn't too hard either, as long as you know the basics to proper tuning of it...

I didn't read through the article that Garrett posted, but I gave it a quick skim and it looked to be a good detailed one for ya to use.

Re: gm MAF

What did you mean by, being careful you know how to put it into your piping for a blow through setup?

Re: gm MAF

I didn't say "being careful" anywhere?... I was talking about putting the MAF in your upper intercooler pipe which makes it a blow through setup. Rather than being before the turbo and reading the air going INTO the system, the blow through setup meters air passing THROUGH the system... A bit more accurate and it allows you to change your setup around a little bit.

what tfoti ment was u need 'link/aem tunning to make it work... but yeah, save the $170 on the Translator, get yourself a $200 Eprom and the $600 Link set up and you'll be blowin' off loud as hell! and saving money TOO! just kidding! dont do that! get the Translator, its made and sold for a reason... also, not one mitsubishi can and i mean NOT ONE can plug into anything GM...

Re: Gm Maf

If you're going to do it, do it right. Besides, I dont think they make those straight up conversion harnesses for DSM to GM MAFs.

Re: Gm Maf

Any reason why you want to do this particular mod? Maybe if we can get your reason as to why you're installing it, we can help you more.
