Electrical problems

Help,

My 98 Ford Windstar LX does not have a dome light, horn, turn signals, or power windows. There was some leaking of water by the top of the winsheild. Is this a ground problem? I checked all the fuses and they seem to be ok.

Re: Electrical problems

The horn, interior lights, and window motors are on separate circuits, so it is odd that they failed simulatenously. Although Ford's electrical schematics don't show it, I read elsewhere in this forum that if you pull fuse #29 to kill the interior lights (if they don't turn off due to a sticking door latch switch) you also disable the window motors.

I can't be of much help but I would try replacing fuse #29 even if it appears ok. Also, check the window motor circuit breaker in the engine maxi-fuse compartment.

A question, are all the interior lights out or just the dome light?
