Steering Gizmo Needed...

This post is for anyone at Panoz or Gary Jones (or anywhere else for that matter) that has this part for sale or knows where I can get a replacement. It may be an off-the-shelf part at Ford for all I know.

I looked it up in the parts manual and I believe it is called a 3/4-36X3/4 Double D Universal Joint (Part # GTR8-5313)

If you look where the lock nut goes over the hex, you will see why it needs to be replaced. (I guess it goes without saying that you all may want to check yours also!)

The 3rd pic (bottom one) shows where this part is located on the steering assembly. There are actually 3 of these in the steering assembly, and while I believe they are all the same size I just wanted to make sure that I point out which one I'm talking about.

I believe that is the same part still used on the GTS car. Call or e-mail Josh ([email protected]) or Brandon ([email protected]) @ 770-867-4796.

That's a Flaming River u-joint. http://www.flamingriver.com/index.cf...rod/prd197.htm

If you can't get it from Panoz, any FR dealer should be able to get you one.
