What kind of suspension?

I have read all the threads about all the different suspensions on the LeSabre's. I have a 93 LeSabre Limited with a FE1 code, which means I have the soft ride. The problem is that is that by what I read, I should have air struts in the rear, but I cannot find any air lines or pump.

The ride on this is awesome and smooth, but the struts need replaced due to the knocking noise while driving. I am not looking in the right place for the pump? Do the air lines go in on the top?

Wink Re: What kind of suspension?

The air assist struts are not standard equipment on the FE1 "soft ride" LeSabre suspension. In fact, very few LeSabres have this option. If you did have the option, it would be listed on the SPID codes on the spare tire cover as option “G67”. The compressor would be located under the hood, passenger side fender well and the struts would have air lines going to the top portion of the strut. (Very easy to spot)
