questions on automatic 1998 tahoe please help
im about to have a complete overhaul done on my tahoe and i want to know if you can add a short shift kit to an automatic while the work is being done on it? i have been told that you can and you cant i really dont want to get ripped off . please help

it can be done, will probably add some to the cost. is up to you and the shop to come to agreement. some prefer not to do that kind of work for warranty reasons, and some don't care because they do good work and stand by it. Not saying that those who will not do crappy work, but from a business perspective, it's not worth it sometimes to them. just remember, ANYTHING can be done with enough money and patience.

The Transgo kit addresses many issues with the 4L60E and many online transmission builders have upgrades which include the Transgo Kit.
A shift kit does not always mean neck breaking shifts. They can be setup mild to wild. I would discuss this with the shop that does the rebuild. The Vette Servo is also a nice upgrade. Here is an example http://www.700r4l60e.com/store/produ...&cat=64&page=1 //2000CAYukon |
