fan speed

my fan in the car only works on 3 started out not working on 4 but have now lost 2 and 1 also tried spaying with contact cleaner but that did not do anything anyone have any ideas

High speed on the fan is a direct 12 volts. Any of the slower fan speeds are controlled by resistors. Probably have a burned out resistor on the slower speeds. The fan is under the dash on the passenger side. It may have a bad electrical connection that is working off and on. Check that wire first, then check out the resistors.
