S-10 miss or chugs during acceleration

I have a 1994 s-10 4.3 vortec 86000 mi. which misses most noticeable at cruising speed. At first I thought it was a transmission slip and I had that checked and the shop (Aamco) said the trans. was o.k. but I had the fluid and filter changed anyway . They thought it was a carbon problem , so I had the induction system cleaned. Still hasn't solved the problem....It still may be carbon. It seems to run well at idle, and tune ups are up to date . I had the fuel filter reciently changed .The fuel line had to be cut to replace the filter and I'm wondering if rust could have gotten in the line ? Thanks Blazer2112

Re: S-10 miss or chugs during acceleration

Sometimes problems arising from acceleration can be due to a bad coil.

even though you are recent on your tuneup, pop the dist. cap off and make sure there is no moisture built up in the cap. thats a common problem with that engine.
start the engine at night with the hood up and watch for sparking arround the wires and coil.
someething else to check out
