Check your crank sensor.

Re: it would be nice to have spark

If the crank or cam sensor was bad wouldn't the fuel not be working also?

Re: it would be nice to have spark

I'm not sure about the cam sensor, but the crank sensor is tied directly into the ignition/firing system. If your crank sensor is broke/unplugged, you will get no spark, but you'll still get fuel. I'm assuming it's the same way with the cam sensor too. The fuel pump will always turn on as long as the key is turned into the on position, regardless of if the motor is out of the car or not.

I was referring to the injectors firing

Re: it would be nice to have spark

Ahh....that I do not know. I'm assuming the injectors don't have anything to do with the crank sensor, I had trouble with that one time and the plugs were wet as hell but I wasn't getting any spark. As for the cam sensor, I cannot say.

Re: it would be nice to have spark

Im thinking the injectors and plugs fire off the cam sensor, and the crank sensor ties into the ignition also.

Check your crank sensor to see if its still good. Its right about the oil filter on the back of the block.

Re: it would be nice to have spark

Look it up in the haynes manual. If you dont have one it would be a good idea to get one. Check the coil pack and if it checks out good then I would suspect the ECU.

Also check the middle pin on the coil pack plug to see if your getting 12v. This is the power for the coil

Re: it would be nice to have spark

Or you could use a test light. All your checking is that the coil is getting power. If you got a multimeter make sure its getting 12v on that middle pin.

Re: it would be nice to have spark

WHAT? You push started the car and it ran? I though it didn't have spark, your not really making sense. If the car has no spark then it wont run at all no matter how you crank it.
