2.8 L fuel economy?

I am just wondering what everyone with a 2.8 l is getting for fuel economy? how far are you goin on a tank? auto or standard? I am only goin about 450 klms

1991 LS, I get about 250-300 miles per tank. I normally don't watch exactly how much, but I will calculate the milage every time on my phone, I average about 15-16mpg in city, and 17-18mpg on the highway.

Towing a Uhaul trailer (6x11, the biggest they have) across from Texas to Utah fully loaded with about 5000lbs (I know, I completely surpassed weight limits) I got about 20-22mpg... I don't know how. Every time I load this trooper up with weight, I get incredible performance.

280-300 on my tank of my 1991. Sad, uneventful, underpowered 280 miles!
