Hi, My brother has a 91 chevy dually 3500, 1 ton and gets 7 mpg (454 motor). He is wondering what he can do to increase his mpg. Would he have to just get a new motor? He likes the truck but it's killing him on mpg's. Thanks!

Re: Better mpg for 91 dually
i had a 86' with a 454, but it was carberated.. i got 8-10 mpg on good days. i did noticed a little bit of mileage increase with a 3" exhaust system with dual flowmaster mufflers, and a K&N filter. In your case, a K&N air intake system can be put on. So maybe u might see an increase, try also using a throttle body spacer...that might help as well... hope this helped...
