Water Sloshing
Hi Guys,
I have what sounds like water sloshing around. The sound is coming from the passenger side behind and under the dasheboard area. I looked to see if I could find drain plugs any where but only found the drainage tubes for the sunroof. The water has been sloshing around for awhile now and that can't be good for anything. Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions? Thanks

Re: Water Sloshing
The drain for the HVAC system is on the bottom of the evaporator housing. Black plastic housing bolted to bulkhead, (firewall). The housing usually has foil attached to it, used as a heat shield. Easiest access is to raise the vehicle, passenger side, rearward of the right front tire, just inboard of the frame. If that's not the problem, there may be an air pocket in the cooling system.

Re: Water Sloshing
Check your collant level. I know when my 97 was just a touch low I would hear that as well when I would start the truck up.

Re: Water Sloshing
ditto - check the coolant level and if its low time to check for lower intake manifold gasket failure. Its a fairly common issue. The manifold gasket can leak coolant into the engine oil. This will ruin the engine bearings if left un repaired.
