vibration on 2003 pontiac grand prix
i have a 2003 pontiac grand prix. A few days ago when i pressed on the accelerator the front end started to shake real bad. i jacked the car up to try and determine the problem and couldnt really tell? i noticed the passenger side cv boot was leaking grease and thats about it. the car only has a bad vibration under acceleration, it feels like the lug nuts are loose and the tire and rim are about fall off but thats not the problems they are fine. please help what could the problem be? cv axle? bearings? shocks? hub? bad tires?

Re: vibration on 2003 pontiac grand prix
It is always helpful to post your mileage and model Grand Prix. Your first clue is probably the grease coming out of the CV boot. Bad CV joints could cause your problem so consider replacing the axle half shaft.
And welcome to AF.

Welcome to AF.
I agree with Bob that you need to start with the obvious, which is the leaking CV axle. No sense trying to finds something else when you have one obvious issue that needs addressing first.
