www.rustrepair.com has panels for Sedans and Hatch/CRX really cheap if y'all ever come across something that needs new rockers and you don't wanna buy it b/c of that.. full panels for each car, mill pressed, etc..

Both rockers and both 1/4's for my car are only gonna be $173 and shipping.. which is really great, considering the $600 plus pricetag from a honda dealer.

I'm getting the full 1/4's, so I don't have to sit there and try to hammer out a new piece of steel that will fit the contours of that area...

Now I just have to find floor pans.. preferably in aluminum.

why would you want aluminum you cant weld that to the steel. youd have to rivet it in and thats not structural at all.

That place is bad ass. I saw that posted on honda-tech a few times, apparently they have more panels than just what's listed on the site too, so you just have to call them. I'm planning on picking up some rear ¼ panels from them when I have the $ ($ for the panels, $ for the tools to put them on and take the others off, and $ to get the whole car painted).

You CAN weld aluminum to steel, but I don't plan on welding them in anyway.. I'm using structural bonding material to put them in. It's rated to hold up to 2 tons.. have no idea what the name of it is, but it's some stuff my dad has used to put I-beams up for a engine puller before, so If he trusts it with his life, I trust it with my car.

ok so it can be done. but its really nothing the average jo could do. youd just blast through the aluminum like it was butter. as for your glue. there 3m, sem, fusor, norton and a few others that dont work at all or went outta business.

lmao @ glue... dude, we use this stuff in industrial applications.. I just found out that the company that I work for uses the same stuff, they put up temp beams with to make hoists for moving equipment.. the only name that I can get for it right now is PRP '43'.

I can order it through them, but I can only get a 55gal drum from them, and it's a lil under $1000 for that... I don't need that much.

I never said I could weld them in myself, I said that it could be done..

Aside from all that, there are ways to make panels just as structurally sound as welding w/o welding, and that's what I"ll probably end up doing.

This works even better when you consider that the floor pans aren't "welded" in to begin with.. that is to say, there's no actual bead-weld there, it's all pop-welds (spot welds).

well for a smaller quantity try the names i mentioned about. but a tube give or take gun choice and size is any were from 30 to 100. it might be easier to find then the industrial stuff your company uses.

I saw a guy put a jdm glass roof on a crx using entirely adhesive.. came out more rigid than original.

the adhesive is good shit, when used/prepped properly.. I've put stuff together with stuff like PC-7 epoxy, and it's lasted for quite a long time against vibration and all else... parts for my dad's tractor lol.
