More good news for Audi R10 fans

KA Models will be doing a photoetch and resin detail kit. It will include all of the necessary parts that Revell left out and the PE appears to have everything that the Dexter Models has.

I have not heard anything on decals though. KA does make some good decals and hopefully they will get in the game, too. For those that were looking at the Dexter items, you can find a review at...

http://scalecentral.org/dex_audir10.htm

The only thing us modelers can fuss over now is how come everything can't be in one box, lol.

Looks great indeed. I'm liking the direction KA Models seem to be headed.

Me too. Now all we need is a CM vs KA price war....

Thanks!
That will be the first thing i´m going to order from KA.
Scratch-building those parts would be terrible.

Re: More good news for Audi R10 fans

I will be getting the set, but now it seems I'm gonna have all these spare parts now to buy another R10

I'm already bought the S27 PE, Dexter Detail Pack, Styrene Sheets for the Rear walls,

I will be planing doing a long diary build with full engine detail as soon as I get all the pieces, It will be great working with 1/24 again

hopefully I can make a model to drool over and get some fellow respect from the expert modellers here

here is a model from Jim Drew, a excellent model builder and his work is just amazing (he also scratch made the Bad Boy Vette from the ALMS finale at Laguna)

Re: More good news for Audi R10 fans

Will I be ostracized mercilessly if I take the high road and build mine as a curbside test car?

Maybe I can take the engine and stuff it into a Deuce highboy

Nice to see the detail sets are available for the detail freaks. I have more fun watching the races and building curbsides

with all the extras I'm gonna have, I'll prolly buy another R10 and just make a curbside, cause the engine like this is either detailed or left untouched.

or, if KA releases ALMS decals, I will make the ALMS version instead Curbside
