Dead stereo problem
Ok. This one is stumping me: I just replaced the stock alternator, serp. belt on a '95 Silverado; 5.7L; automatic; 4wd; and now the stock stereo doesn't work. I checked fuses and all are good. The on/off knob didn't work before, but now nothing does. The clock in it, on the other hand; works fine. Any suggestions guys?
Thanks in advance. B. |

Re: Dead stereo problem
Do you see a red light in one of the corners? You could of set off the security mode some how.

Re: Dead stereo problem
Didn't look, but I think I did just that. I'll have to get the code.

Re: Dead stereo problem
Once you get it working again you can disable the theftlock so that next time you disconnect the power your radio doesn't lock out.
