Question 01 T&C speed sensors

The speedometer quit working and I was going to change the speed sensors. I could get to the outside one(closest to the wheel) changed it and still no speed reading. Does anyone know how to get to the inside one? A 1 inch socket fits on them but it is under a couple of hoses and about impossible to reach without unhooking a bunch of stuff. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Re: 01 T&C speed sensors

The one closest to the wheel is the one that is needed for the speedo. (output speed sensor.) Do you have the check engine light on? When this sensor is bad it turns on. If not you have a different problem with the speedo.

Re: 01 T&C speed sensors

what is the other speed sensor for? I did not ever get a warning light on anything. What could be wrong if not the speed sensor?
Thanks

Did you run the cluster check ? With ignition "off" push hold down the odometer reset button until "sof" appears release this should start cluster check. If it finds nothing it will just say "done" I believe . Also you could reset the bcm by pulling the IOD fuse for a couple minutes.

THANKS-viperqq. I did that check you suggested and now the speedometer works. There was one error that came up but I don't know what the codes are.
I was error 4 and then it went into the long diagnostic series and worked after that.

Re: 01 T&C speed sensors

The other speed sensor located closer to your engine is the input speed sensor.
