remote unlock for 1997?

I thought all bonnevilles had the remote unlock option. I ordered one off e-bad. The instructions said to ground #8 to #4 on the port and the door locks would click showing it was ready to be programed. No wire to #4 so I grounded #8 to the frame. Nothing. I took the port off and there was a tan wire where the black/white wire was to be. There was a black/white wire on port #12 so I grounded that and still nothing. My port wiring doesn't match any wiring diagram I have. Are there some there that cannot have a remote unlock? Mine has power locks, windows and trunk release.

Some of them have it and some of them dont..

Look on your spare tire cover for AU0 or the 1SC Package.... If you see either of these you should have Keyless..

But my guess is being that you don't have the Pin for it, you most likely have a 1SB 97 Bonneville...

I have a good friend that has a 1997 1SB Package Bonneville, has everything except keyless.... I thought that was strange too.. But in researching it was standard with the 1SC Package and Optional on the 1SB
